Chris James Birthday Cake
Chris James Birthday Cake

The hall was nearly set up with Flags, Wolf Tee Shirts, Wolf Throws and the Tables set up with Clothes, Table Flags and Candle Lights as well as some Nibbles as our act for tonight turned up and we changed from a Solo to a Duo don’t very happen that much, so start time rolled round and instead of bringing on CHRIS JAMES it was KICKIN COUNTRY who I introduced to all in the hall, and it was “Imagine That” and “Billy B Bad” along with the “High Class Lady”, they then moved onto “Every Time I Close My Eyes” then BRIAN took centre stage for “Ace In The Hole” and we also met up with the “Good Hearted Woman” and the “First Fool In Line” they closed the spot with a couple of Everly’s numbers which were “Let It Be Me” along with “Walk Right Back”. I did not do the What’s On as we found out that CHRIS JAMES had a Birthday the following Tuesday so the Club brought him a Cake and a Prezzie, so while I was cutting up the Cake I heard BRIAN say PHIL must be busy and he introduced KICKIN COUNTRY to all in the hall, and “Here Comes My Baby” and “King Of The Road” got things on the right track, we all heard from CHRIS and BRIAN in this spot “Falsom Prison Blues” “Designated Drinker” and “Rodeo Man”. CHRIS then went on to play an Instrumental which was a Duane Eddy number but before the end of the number his batteries run out on the Guitar so we never heard the end of it, but he did go on to “Ghost Riders In The Sky” which was the Duane Eddy version of the number. KICKIN COUNTRY closed the spot with “Heartbeat” along with “Impossible”

During the break I did manage to do the “WHATS on LIST” and then with the help of the “GANG” did the RAFFLE DRAW and still managed to bring back KICKIN COUNTRY for the final time tonight and “Better Man” along with “Today I Started Loving You Again” and “Silver Wings” they then moved onto a Brilliant version of “Sunday Morning Coming Down” along with “I Walk The Line Revisited” and a bit of Rock with “Summertime Blues”, it was Brian on centre stage for “Nobody Knows But Me” we then met up with the “Okie From Muskogee” and it was “The Lord Made A Hobo Out Of Me” that closed the show, I had to ask for one more which they did and I can not remember what it was !!!!. Another Brilliant night at the LONE WOLF C.M.C put on by KICKIN COUNTRY some great picking by the WELSH WIZARD and the Harmony they create was brilliant and to all who supported the Club again from the “GANG” thank you very much.
