I was at the hall early today and nearly had it set up before our artists for tonight arrived after a long drive up from the West Country. Just before 7-15 I made welcome all who had turned up to support the Club, and for the first time tonight brought on stage WEST COUNTRY who got things on the right track with “Heaven In My Woman’s Eyes” and then to do some “Boot Scootin Boogie” then it was off for some “Summertime Blues” and onto the Gene Watson number “Got No Reason” on with the Don Williams number “First Fool In Line” after which it was through some “Swinging Doors” along with “Living On Love” and they closed with “Driving My life Away”

During the Break I read out the “WHATS on LIST” then had a chat to some of the people in the hall, then it was time to bring back NIGEL and DUNCAN for the second time tonight and some of the numbers they sang and played were “Digging Up Bones” the Randy Travis hit along with !Talk Is Cheap” after which we met up with some “Old Soldiers” and a great version of the Gene Watson number “Fourteen Carrot Mind”.

In the next Break the “GANG” helped me do the RAFFLE DRAW this done and dusted it was then time for me to introduce to all for the final time tonight WEST COUNTRY who got things moving with “Heartaches By The Numbers” then we all watched as it was “This Is Where The Cowboy Rides Away” onto a bit of Haggard with “Silver Wings” and the met up with the very popular “Gipsy Queen”, then it was DUNCAN who took centre stage with “The Next Time I’m In Town” and WEST COUNTRY brought the show to a close with another Randy Travis number which was “On The Other Hand” it was clear that I would have to ask for one more and this was “Past The Point Of Rescue” for me one number stood out this was “Old Pair Of Shoes” Brilliant. Tonight WEST COUNTRY put on a Great night of LIVE COUNTRY MUSIC at the LONE WOLF C.M.C. so to them from the “GANG” thanks very much and to all who supported the Club your club Thank You.
